Recordings from the 1973 ODPC meeting
(which would officially become the Funfest in 1974)

The tenth annivarsary ODPC meeting in 1973 was expanded to two days (September 29-30) and was held at the Osceola County fairgrounds in Evart Michigan. After the meeting there was much enthusiasm and the event was expanded the next year (1974) to what we now know as the Funfest.

The 1973 meeting, the precursor of the Funfest, was recorded by Paul Gifford and those recordings are made available here.

While every effort has been made to preserve the sound quality of these recordings, remember that they were made 40 years ago on home equipment. Consider them an "aural window in time" and a historical document of the beginning of the modern renaissance of the dulcimer.

These are MP3 files and will play in any PC or Mac. When you click on a recording, your browser will either play the file or ask to download it. If your browser asks to download the file, let it download to a folder where you can find it, click the file where it was saved and it will play.
