Over the years, there have been several significant audio and video recordings made either
by the club or by others at club events. Video recordings: There have been two video documentaries made of the FunFest. The oldest is from 1982 and includes interviews with many of the prominent club members and players of that era. 1982 ODPC documentary The second ws made in 2013 by Fred Merle of Special Event Productions and captures some of those same people as well as others who came to the instrument and the festival in more recent times. 2013 ODPC FunFest documentary As well as the two videos above, there are many more videos from FunFests as far back as 1981 on Paul Goelz's YouTube channel. Audio Recordings Through the efforts of Gene Cox, Paul Gifford and Paul Goelz, audio recordings the first club meeting, the first Funfest and a visit by Paul Van Arsdale have been captured for our archives. The club also released an LP album in the 70s called "The American Hammer Dulcimer", which is also available here for download since it is long out of print. |
